My hubby and I took a little trip for a couple of days and do something special for our 25 anniversary. We went to the Belhurst Castle in Geneva, NY.
What a nice place! The rooms were beautiful, the food was to die for and the service was top notch. We did have an "incident" though when the folks above our room filled their jacuzzi too high and the overflow soaked their floor, and... our ceiling. First the dripping started, then the stream of water while I hurried and grabbed what garbage cans I could to catch the water, Then after a while it stopped and we thought that was the worse of it so we went ahead and went to dinner. The food was soo good you almost had to roll us out. Well, when we got back to the room, the ceiling had fallen. Well not the whole ceiling but there was a sizable hole and a huge mess on the floor. I kinda wish I had taken a picture of it now but we had to get our stuf packed up. They did put us in another room whch was nice too but not as nice as the one we had. Stuf happens ya know.. LOL Earlier that day we spent the afternoon touring some little wineries along Seneca lake. That was pretty fun but would be more fun if there wasnt so much snow! We ended up comming home with several bottles of wine.
